Mrs Bettison, Mrs Wydell and Miss Brooks would like to extend to you a very warm welcome to the mixed class of year 3 and 4 children. We are very much looking forward to an exciting year of learning, providing opportunities to develop curiosity and creativity.
We are very eager to continue the year with a group of hardworking pupils full of determination and enthusiasm, who together, can strive to succeed at anything. Without limits, we are most definitely looking forward to all that we can achieve together this year.
We aim to become proficient readers this year too, so we certainly need your support at home – don’t forget that in Key Stage 2 though, pupils can sign their own learning logs. Please also be aware that we have increased our expectation of reading from three to five time a week.
If you would like any further information or to discuss any issues regarding your child’s learning, please do not hesitate to make an appointment to see myself, Mrs Wydell or Miss Brooks. Alternatively, you can write a message in your child’s learning log which will be reviewed on a daily basis.
Homework will be given out, each half-term, on a menu of activities for children to complete. These can be completed in any order. There is also homework set on Purplemash and don’t forget you also have access to TTRockstars and Spelling Shed!
PE days will now be on a Thursday and Friday so please ensure that your child is dressed in their kit on these days.
