Greek Vase Creations

The class thoroughly enjoyed creating their own ‘ Greek Vases after researching the shape, composition, patterns and purpose of those discovered by archaeologists. They learned how to mould and shape accurately from the same piece of clay and felt really proud of the results too.
Saturation Science!

Saturation Science!

This week in Science, the year 4/5 children were testing the saturation point of water and sugar. The children had a really good time using the equipment! The discussion we had and the vocabulary used was also outstanding.

The children identified the water as a solvent and the sugar as a solute – they even described what was happening during the process with vocabulary such as opaque, transparent and translucent! Brilliant! Keep up the good work!

We will be now moving on to see how The Great Plague influenced the development of public health care and medicines!
