A Letter from Mrs Norris

A Letter from Mrs Norris

Hello parents,

We hope you are all well and keeping safe. It’s been wonderful to see all the children back in school and happy to see each other again.

Although the new routines and many risk assessments in place must feel strange for you all, inside there is a lovely buzz of learning. We have been assessing the children this week to ensure that we can plan to help them to catch up with any missed learning too. Support with this at home – especially by listening to them read would really help and be appreciated too.

PE times take place outdoor and at staggered times. The children can come in their PE kits on these days;

Eyfs : Wednesday & Fridays

Y1/2: Wednesday & Fridays

Y3/4: Tuesday & Thursdays

Y4/5: Tuesday & Thursdays

Y6: Wednesday & Fridays

Thank you all for your patience at home times. After reviewing the situation, we are concerned about the time being lost for learning for our older children with younger siblings, so as from next week we will introduce a one way system around the school, enabling parents to collect children outside classroom doors, walking around school and out through the gates next to the Y6 classroom, safely through the car park. ( this won’t be accessed by vehicles at this time). Collection times will be 2.55pm for EYFS/ Y1/2 and 3pm for KS2 classes. Social distancing rules must remain whilst moving round school. Further information to follow.

Please remember to keep your child at home if they display any symptoms, including a new continuous cough, or a high temperature or loss of taste/smell. Please book a test as quickly as possible if this happens so they can return to us the minute they get their negative result. This applies for any household member with the above symptoms too.

The more we follow the rules, the longer we get to keep classes open and children get to stay in school. This is our priority. Thank you all for working with us to achieve this.

Take care and stay safe
